Neil McKillen BA MRTPI

A Chartered Town Planner with over thirty years experience Neil worked until recently in the Government Office for the East of England.  His responsibilities there were firstly delivering Growth Area projects before moving onto Local Development Framework support in Luton, Bedfordshire, Stevenage and North Herts. He was responsible for setting up the statutory Luton and South Bedfordshire Joint Committee and in supporting it through to Core Strategy submission stage.

In Northern Ireland his roles have included heading up the Regeneration & Conservation section in Belfast Divisional Planning Office, writing the first NI Development Control Manual, training staff in conducting appeals and public inquiries and in drafting legislation.  On the development management front he has dealt with a range of major developments and also the NI equivalent of call-in cases.

Since leaving Go-East in April 2011 he has been working as a consultant to Political Developments Ltd and set up the Ickleton Planning Consultancy. His website will be online in the near future.
